Maybe another depth lineman and a that’s about it. Would LOVE a solid TE too but at this point we’ve gotta be outta money right?

Everyone i sign now would be on a 1 year deal

What we need to do as a board is hope and pray the market doesn’t materialize for Gesecki because i could absolutely see him being the Hurst of this year.

I’d like to see Poona Ford brought in as rotational/pr dl if he’s willing to take a reasonable contract as a part time player

I really want to see what Brown's cap hit ends up being with his new contract.
Bengals currently have $30 mill in cap before the Brown signing.

If it's just ~$15 mill or so, I would imagine they'll only have ~$10 mill of cap space left to work with since they'll hold onto a bit for the draft.
Available cap could play a big factor into what SAF/CB/OG/TE might get signed in the coming days/weeks.

Releasing Mixon as a pre-June 1 cut will return $7.3 mill in cap.
Releasing as a post-June 1 cut will return $10 mill in cap.
That saved cap could be huge for improving the team.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins

Cap hit will be $8.8 mil

The huge bonus is spread throughout the deal, the 1st year salary is only $1mill or something weird like that.

Gotcha.

I hadn't seen Spotrac or OTC updated yet with any numbers.
Only having $8.8 mill cap hit is huge.

They need to cut Mixon and Collins and not sign Eckler.

I’m guessing getting a good safety is more important for our team than paying a RB on a second or third contract.

Putting the money into Brown instead of Bates was brilliant, and I think Bates is a very good safety who I wish we could have kept.

Can you imagine the potential for Joe Burrow if he gets a top 3 o line?

Just brilliant by front office.

I’m hoping for a safety and a tight end signed to wrap up free agency.

The front office has taken an amazing step forward in last three years!

Around $27 mil, not counting the placeholder guys we have signed. With 45/46 inked. That assumes we release Brandin Wilson and Collins' cap hit is the full monty.

Probably around $20 mil-ish when you leave space for the draft picks. Though if we cut Collins, cut/restructure Mixon, or trade Jonah, it could be more.

The big ticket possibilities (over $2 mil) would seem to be:

1) Safety (better than Nick Scott): Love, Gardner-Johnson, Rapp, Johnson
2) CB: Apple or other vet
3) TE: Hooper (I'd be OK with 2 in the draft + Wilcox/Sample
4) DL: vet pass rush help

IOL also likely, but likely a Scharping level move.

Not a huge fan of the RBs left or Gesicki.

Dont'a Foreman or Kareem Hunt could handle the work load and do a good job. They are both cheaper than Mixon.

Not many other backs that I would like from the remaining Free Agents that may be in the Bengals price range.

The Bengals may be preparing to Draft one in the first or 2nd round and maybe sign an older veteran that gets cut later to use with the rookie.

OL: Dalton Risner or Jermaine Eluemunor
TE: Gesicki on a 1 year prove-it deal. Still target TE in the draft.
DT: Greg Gaines, Matt Ioannidis
DE: Markus Golden
S: Nick Scott, John Johnson, Taylor Rapp, or Harrison Smith if cut (or in a trade)
Build a great wall up front to protect Burrow!

Foster Moreau, TE
John Johnson III, S
D'Ernest Johnson, RB (#2 RB)
Cam Sims, WR (4th-5th WR)
Elijah Wilkinson G/T (quality depth, they currently have no backup real G)

I think at that point I would be perfectly content for the draft to fill in any other starter or depth needs (starting RB, RT that will start in 2024, P, #2 TE).

Kareem Hunt, Calais Campbell, Gesicki and Irv Smith are who I'd be trying to sign.

Kareem Hunt is not that far removed from at 1 time
Being a 1000 YD RB and a 50 catch RB.
He was barely used in Cleveland last year.so his body
Does not have a whole lot of wear and tear on it.
He would be a tremendous value pick up
For the Bengals.

Not sure Hunt fits Zac's mold.

Cant read the list per it gets blurry when expanding and these old eyes don't work like they once did.

Yet want a good safety and maybe an adequate TE.

But think both TE's could be had in the draft along with a RB if the right TE cant be found.

So really just want a safety and possibly a IOL depth piece and Apple.

Then go into draft searching for TE, RB, Pass Rusher, CB, and a late round WR flyer
