Not exactly "zero" changes...but there is some question about why the old medicines have been raised so much.

Why can't the people who sell insulin just keep the price at $21 per and then simply work harder so they can make the same amount of money they would if they exponentially raised the price? I don't get it.

They are making as many diabetics as they can.  It's not easy.

Honest question: does the article address any rising demand for the drug? I tried reading it, but just too tired to focus. My first thought as to a possible reason for rising cost is if there is a significant increase in demand.

Not a reason given by the manufacturers.  they are increasing current prices so they can work on new versions...and charge more for them.
