I think a lot would agree that he’s very good. But Great? He’s only had 3/4 years of being great and the rest not so much. I love AJ , think he can get to the point of being called great but not yet. If you’re going by stats compared to great WRs , he’s not on par with the great ones.

You don’t go to the Pro Bowl 7 times in a row because you’re just “good.”

Or do something only Randy Moss has done before (5 straight 1K yds seasons to start his career).

That is a great WR.

I guess when I think of players being great , I think of HOF type numbers. Moss has HOF type numbers. Green does not

There are plenty of great players not in the HoF.

Green is sixth all time in NFL history in receiving yards per game.

I'm a huge AJ Green fan, but his stats surprised me when I looked at them and I doubt he makes the HOF.

He's had over 1078 yards 3 times in his 8 year career.

Deandre Hopkins has had over 1210 yards 4 times in 6 years...and he's been over 1500 yards TWICE. AJ has never been over that.

I tend to think of AJ Green as having 1200-1300 yards per year EVERY year. That's not the case.

3 of his 6 1000 yard seasons were below 1100 yards.

Then 2 years he was injured and didn't hit 1000 yards.

There are receivers who get 1400-1500 yards now pretty regularly.

I never said he’d make the HoF. I doubt he does either. I said he’s a great WR. And he is. The fact there’s a handful of other great WR’s that put up even better numbers doesn’t mean he’s not.
