Pick I like the most- Mcglinchey- He seems like the safest pick in the draft for us who could start day one at RT. We need solid players on the line.

Pick I dislike the most- Michah Kiser- solid run defender but if I am drafting a LB in the first 3 rds he better be able to project as a three down player or as a coverage or pass rush specialist.

Tell me why- Why draft Faulk he seems like a lesser version of Dalton. If we draft a QB early then he should have amazing talent. Maybe a guy like Jackson.

most interesting pick- Marcus Davenport seems like a guy who fits our prototype DE and has a ton of unlocked potential.

Overall- solid draft but not franchise changing worthy.

Believe we have bigger needs than a QB in the 2nd round.

But like the rest.

People are overrating Davenport the guy only had 8.5 sacks this past year in a no name conference. No way he goes in the first. Mid 2nd to early third best guess.

I'm guessing you haven't seen any of his games?  The man was double and tripled teamed.

He has RARE, and I mean RARE movement for a guy his size.  If he's playing at a major school, he's probably looked at as a #1 overall pick.

That being said, you know how the draft process works.  If he shows anything the combine, he's going to be a top 10 pick.

I am not saying he isn't good but if I am an a scout not having a 10 Sack season scares me also.  He could be an impressive specimen but so was Willis and Hunt and they went in the third and second Rds in their draft.

Sacks aren't everything. It's about potential. And like he said he gets triple teamed damn near every play. But he imoacts very single play in some way.

I get the hesitation with Davenport when it comes to playing against weaker competition. Can he stay productive when going against better players?
We'll get a good idea about him from his time at the Senior Bowl this week.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins

The draft is littered with top picks that don't get 10 sacks in a season that go in the top 10.  It's college, they don't play a full 16 game season.  A 10 sack season in the NFL is the equivalent of a 7-8 sack college season.

I searched last night and could not find it but i will look again.......basically what I read was some NFL scouts said about a month ago that Davenport would go top 15 or 20.

Here it is I found it.

You might have never heard of the guy I had to keep moving up. I mentioned UTSA edge rusher Marcus Davenport—a 6' 7" freak of a receiver-turned-pass rusher—a few weeks back. I didn’t have him in my early November mock. I put him at the end of the first round in the initial list I put together this time around, and then multiple execs told me he’s not getting out of the Top 15.
