I had plans to see the Tetons this summer, but things didn’t work.

Awesome mountains...

Still think the Sawtooth mountains in Stanley, Idaho are very underrated though.

If you haven’t seen 1883 it’s good. It’s on Paramount+. It’s a prequel to Yellowstone. I like 1883 more than Yellowstone.

Godless is a good western series on Netflix.

True Grit (the remake) is currently on Netflix as well.

More into the great western authors

Louis L 'Amour
Luke Short
Zane Grey
Max Brand
J.T.Edson Dusty Fog stories

If you try and read all their books you won't have time for one else.

Still lean towards the Spaghetti westerns myself with the Dollar Trilogy as Top Dog.

A lot of people just know Elmore Leonard for his "cops and robbers" stories that were turned into movies and TV series like "Get Shorty", "Jackie Brown", "Mr. Majestyk", "Out of Sight", "Justified", "Karen Sisco", "The Big Bounce", etc

But he started out writing westerns and he was very good.  Some you might have heard of include "3:10 to Yuma", "Joe Kidd", "Hombre", "Valdez is Coming", "Last Stand at Sabre River"

I love what I have seen of it which is only the first 2 episodes.

I like Yellowstone a lot, makes me laugh but I loved what I saw of 1883.

Wyatt Earp (1994)

The Quick And The Dead and Pale Rider are also among my favorites.
