BTW, it takes a lot of courage to have those things made.

In a shocking move, Trump Press Sec Kayleigh McEnany said it’s not appropriate for POTUS to golf as a nation mourns.

Wait, this was during Obama’s presidency. And she was referring to him golfing when Daniel Pearl died.

Wait... we just received word that Pearl died in 2002 and she’s a ***** idiot

Yes, but think of the courage it took to name Obama by name in a bullshit defense of Trump. No whataboutism there. Trump hadn’t golfed in almost three months! Talk about personal sacrifice! I went longer than that without a shower while deployed to Iraq so almost three whole months without a round of golf is practically barbaric.

I think that's how that works.

Isn't he funneling tax money into his private business via said golf trips?  That's what we hired him to do, run this country like a business.  Why his fan base can't see how this isn't ideal is beyond me, though.

Maybe if people start an internet rumor that they saw people using food stamps to play golf then people would realize what a travesty it all is.

Quote:A group of armed protestors outside the Kentucky governor’s mansion on Sunday hung an effigy of Beshear, a Democrat elected in 2019, to protest the state’s stay-at-home order.

The protestors chanted “Sic semper tyrannis,” a Latin phrase meaning “Thus always to tyrants,” which is most commonly associated with the assassinations of Julius Caesar and Abraham Lincoln.

Throughout this I've made known that although I disagree with many of his policies I have absolute respect for what our Governor is doing this crisis.

The folks that participated in this display should be tried for hate crimes; especially, those (as the Governor reported) that crossed into the private grounds of the Governor's residence with weapons. He reported they were right outside his children's windows.

Kudos to Mitch for sternly condemning it. I hope all KY officials follow suit and these folks are found and tried.

Yeah, I think this has been pretty well condemned on both sides. That said, when you pay protestors to rally with guns, you're going to get some things like this come up.

I'm glad Mitch could find time to tweet a sentence about it.

All seriousness aside I'm glad some GOP have said this was unacceptable.  But I won't believe they have grown any spines to stand up to these fake patriots until I see a pattern of speaking out from them.

If you don't understand how his comments undermine what both governors are trying to do in their respective states then you probably don't understand the importance of testing for disease surveillance so we can end the lock downs.

Oh, yeah . . . what are the odds?

But, I really don't think you believe either of those comments because you're like the Skip Bayless of PNR.  You just write crap you don't believe just to have crap to argue about.
Seems like an appropriate place to put this:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/michigan-gov-gretchen-whitmer-says-001304054.html

Quote:Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said Tuesday that her husband made a failed attempt at humor when he asked a boat contractor whether his status as Michigan's "First Gentleman" would help him get his boat in the water ahead of the Memorial Day weekend.

"He thought it might get a laugh," Whitmer said of her husband, Marc Mallory, a dentist.

"It didn't, and to be honest, I wasn't laughing either when it was relayed to me because I knew how it would be perceived."...

Republican State Sen. Tom Barrett said Monday he felt he unknowingly became part of a cover-up of the incident, having removed his Facebook post about the incident Friday night after officials in Whitmer's office reached out to him through the Senate Republican leader's office to say the allegations made by an owner of the boat company were untrue.

So were they "untrue" or did she kno how they would be "perceived".

So the president mocks reporters for following CDC recommendations the president announced almost 2 months ago.  How courageous.

1) I don't know if they were true or false.

2) How is this appropriate to what you quoted? I don't understand the connection?

Why would he want the evil media breathing their covid germs on him anyways?  He really isn't concerned they are trying to take him out of commission?

1) It appears neither does the GOV and her staff

2) The GOV of MICH was the subject in each.

Oh my god, the governor of Michigan wasn't the subject.  We were discussing how Trump undermines the governor's pandemic response with his actions and comments; that was the subject.

There was a comment about The Gov of Mich in a thread about Coronavirus. I responded to it with an article about the Gov of Mich in reference to an issue about coronavirus. She was/is definitely a subject in both, but it doesn't count because.....wait for it...….here it comes...….TRUMP!

The extreme end of the protests are a bad look for sure, and no sane politician will do anything but condemn.

The far right is in a dangerous place, much like the far left was not long ago.  They've gotten brazen in expressing their less-mainstream opinions, and reality will likely soon set in for them.  Lots of folks want to re-open, but few to none are seeking an armed insurrection to get it, and the movement is getting hijacked by crazies.

I personally think some of these cosplayers are definitely dumb enough to kill a cop, public official or even a random private citizen.  When they do, all of the fun of the cosplay games will get really real, really fast for them.  They're walking a thin line right now, and some of the general public is still willing to tolerate their antics.  Once they act on their threats, the public will turn on them, and nobody will give a shit when the National Guard and State police start taking lethal action against the domestic terrorism threat.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm mature enough and in control of my Emotional Intelligence to a point that I can ignore what I want and reply to what I want. I am not consumed with Cognitive dissonance when my point is questioned. Now the made up shit gets old, but I try to consider the source, Not everyone has that level of maturity or EI and find it easier to just stick their fingers in their ears and go "la.la.la.la" when presented with points counter to theirs.
