Democrats tie noose, throw it over a beam, stand on stool, place head in noose and then jump.  Quite simply, if you got impeachment from Comey's testimony then you're an idiot, highly partisan or a highly partisan idiot.  I'm seriously disturbed with how inane our government has become.

Per (Partisan Washington Insider) Robert Reich:

According to Politico, Republicans are increasingly worried they’ll lose the House in next year’s midterms in a toxic political environment that appears to be worsening. Specifically:

1. They cite the possibility that they won’t secure any serious legislative wins.
2. They have serious concerns about more revelations about Trump. Special counsel Robert S. Mueller's investigation “remains the wild card.”
3. They worry about what Trump will do if Mueller's investigation gets closer to Trump. On yesterday's ABC’s “This Week,” Jay Sekulow, a member of Trump’s legal team, refused to rule out the possibility that Trump might order Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein to fire Mueller.
4. They worry about what Trump might say. Over the weekend he announced he was “100 percent” ready to testify under oath to special counsel Mueller about his interactions with Comey. If Trump testifies, Republicans would be under dramatically increased pressure to clarify whether they believe him or Comey.
5. They're concerned enough to begin to break ranks. “Certainly, Mr. Comey understood [Trump's words to him about Michael Flynn] as a directive,” said Republican Senator Susan Collins over the weekend. "Whether it’s illegal is a whole other issue, and that’s up to the independent counsel. But it was wrong of the president to even bring up the subject.” Yesterday, Senator John McCain said Obama provided more American global leadership than Trump.

Yeah, I see what you mean. It is just a Democratic suicide mission!

Feel free to go back to ignoring the Trump matter. #He'sgrrrrrrrrrreat!

You remind me of my friend who sent me a link from Huffington Post about how Trump would be impeached.  Not like Politico or HuffPo would publish something to get clicks right?  I mean both sites are known for their neutrality after all.

I don't like Trump.  I dislike the hyper partisan BS coming out of the left right now even less.  They lost, they need to own it and move on.  This constant attempt to subvert the 2016 election will backfire, in grand fashion.  If it helps you sleep at night to believe otherwise in the interim then I don't begrudge you the extra z's.

RE: It's Draft Time: Impeachment Edition - CKwi88 - 06-12-2017

Dems should not be pushing for impeachment. They should wait until Trump loses support from (the rest of) his own party. Until then, Democratic attempts of impeachment just feed into Trump's bullshit "obstructionist" narrative that he is pushing.

Let the guy keep tripping over his own two feet. Even if he were impeached now that just gives more time to the GOP to right the ship.

RE: It's Draft Time: Impeachment Edition - michaelsean - 06-12-2017

Yeah any congressman can draw up anything they want. I'm guessing some random Republican did the same for Obama. Btw the President can fire the director and owes no explanation.

The campaign to impeach Trump began in January.

This really doesn't surprise me. Dems/libs are out of their effing mind idiots.

Your ability to dissociate is really fascinating. You don't like Trump, yet have an almost superhuman ability to deny or ignore all evidence of his wrong doing. You also have a remarkable affinity for your theory that the partisan Democrats will have a scorched earth policy for 1,000 years because of a single election. Let me let you in on a little secret: if Democrats are good at one thing, it is losing elections they should win. They don't get bitter, they get more conservative, which plays right into the Empire's hands.

I give you credit though, when you latch on to a theory you stick with it! You would be fun to play the board game Clue with. As other players navigated around the board trying to eliminate possible outcomes you would continue to guess Professor Plum in the Library with The Candlestick. No matter now many times you saw all three cards, this would be your guess. And it makes perfect sense. It had to be a liberal elite intellectual (Professor) and where else would he be (Library) and he wouldn't have a gun or a knife or even anything close to a decent weapon (Candlestick). I bet your teachers gave you high marks for persistence when you kept guessing the same wrong answer. Bless them all. xoxo.

No, I don't ignore it, I just don't react to everything he does with hysterics.  I've made this point before, for a large section of the left if you don't scream and froth at the mouth over everything Trump does then you're branded a Trump supporter.  In the real world it doesn't work that way.  I do feel bad for failing your ideological litmus test though.

Your quite good at condescension, it seems to make up about 70% of your posts since the whole Trump thing started.  I'll merely reiterate, if you got "impeachable offense" from Comey's testimony then you're either not very bright, which I don't think is the case with you, you're highly partisan (bingo!), or both.  I get the sense you disagree, no worries.  Just try not to be too upset when the whole impeachment thing the Dems have been talking about since 11/09/16 doesn't happen.

Had a similar thing with my "libertarian" friend on facebook.  He spent all campaign arguing that Trump and Clinton were different sides of the same coin.

He's spent every time since the election saying Clinton would have been worse, Obama was awful and Trump isn't as bad as everyone says.

But he DOES throw a Rand Paul meme up every now and again and tell me that since I don't argue against paying no taxes I'm just another sheep to the federal government.

The Law Professors who wrote the above article weren't the only highly partisan idiots agreeing with me this week. I heard other idiots with law degrees on radio and television making the case for impeachment and saying it is pretty much a slam dunk at this point.

From the article above:

"Obstruction of justice is a serious offense that lay at the core of Bill Clinton’s impeachment and forced the resignation of Richard Nixon. The Watergate-era cliché “The cover-up is worse than the crime” misses the point that the cover-up is a crime. Congress has made it a felony for any person — including the president — to “corruptly” interfere with a proceeding before a federal agency. Powerful evidence has emerged in recent weeks suggesting that President Trump did indeed interfere with the F.B.I. investigation of Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, which is part of the broader Russia inquiry."

Another partisan idiot and lawyer who served a previous President said simply, 'Trump told CBS news and Russians in the White House that he fired Comey to relieve the pressure of the Russia investigation. That's obstruction of justice and the proof is Mr. Trump's own statements.'
