My apologies for caring more about the POTUS asking for political favors in exchange for helping an ally more than Hunter Biden's dating history. Also for not caring how many posts someone has.
But we all have different priorities.

Boy, I remember the good ol’ days when the only presidential scandal involved the lies Trump tweeted about Obama’s birth certificate.
Now, if you told me the biggest presidential scandal would involve one of his son’s knocking up a women out of wedlock, I’d consider that a win for the country by comparison to the last three years.

Is it a given that Joe would give his son a job in my government if he was elected? Or are we just lowering our expectations because of the current administration? Is that why I should care what Hunter does?
I could have sworn there was recently some guy who was elected to a very prominent government position who actually illegally used campaign funds to pay off a porn star who he cheated on his pregnant wife with... The Republican in me can not remember the full details of this story to give two shits though.
So back to the civilian who nobody voted for...

Pretty sure that you think the only reason it rained today was because Trump. But this issue really has 0 to do with POTUS. It has to do with a young mother trying to get support from a POS who denied ever sleeping with her.
Of course the paternity results came out during impeachment investigations; so somehow, someway, the open-minded can make it because Trump.

To the bold: That's why I made the statement I did. A politician's kid did something most of us wouldn't do or condone (even though he's taking responsibility now) but in the grand scheme of things it's not something most people care about as is evidenced by the current political situation and president. Clearly it was a joke is a silly thread.
Some people get offended when that is pointed out and get all serious is defending "which is worse". It's fun to volley back and forth for awhile until you realize the other guy really cares. Then it's time to step away.

Pretty sure we can all agree Dino referenced POTUS before I did and my focus was to compare to 2 offspring. One can read this thread and easily tell the usual suspects are focus on POTUS rather than baby Biden. But we'd have to be intellectually honest to do that.

My fear is that it has only begun. If a miracle occurs and someone beats Trump for POTUS we will have 4-8 years of the "but Trump' defense.

To be fair (I don't expect you will agree) Trump's behavior as President, whether he is there for another year or another five years, has been a stain on the office. I don't know how anyone will go lower than calling people who question his actions "human scum".
"But Trump", with as low as he set the bar, will be pretty accurate for most common disagreements over a President's actions.
