Vaughan Cunningham: I'm just going to say it. I'm gay. Does that surprise you that I'm gay? You know what gay is, don't you?

Karl: I don't reckon.
Vaughan Cunningham: [quietly] Homosexual. I like men sexually.
Karl: Not funny 'ha-ha', funnyqueer.
Vaughan Cunningham: Well that's a very offensive way to put it. You shouldn't say that. You were taught that, weren't you?
Karl: I've heard it said that a-way. I like them French fried potaters.

Apocalypse Now
Hannah and Her Sisters
True Grit
Raising Arizona
Full Metal Jacket
Rocky
The Big Lebowski
This is Spinal Tap
National Lampoon Vacation
The Blues Brothers
Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Rear Window
Annie Hall
Taxi Driver
Cape Fear (the newer one)
Cool Hand Luke

This is getting silly, but I have to add SlingBlade and Blade Runner to my already way too long list.

RE: Top 5 Movies - Penn - 06-22-2015

Instead of following directions, I'll give 4 most people haven't seen but are well worth it. 3 of them haven't been seen by most of you since they are Spanish language.

Frailty (I really can't believe most haven't seen this and it would be listed even if I was following directions)
El Dia de la Bestia (The Day of the Beast, good mix of horror and comedy)
El espinazo del diablo (The Devil's Backbone)
El laberinto del fauno (inaccurate English title was Pan's Labyrinth)

Those last 2 were written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, the same person who brought you the English language titles of Hellboy and Pacific Rim as well as wrote the screenplay for the Hobbit movies. His Spanish works were better than his English works.

RE: Top 5 Movies - BmorePat87 - 06-22-2015

1. Empire Strikes Back

2. A New Hope

3. The Departed

4. Tommy Boy

5. Gangs of New York

RE: Top 5 Movies - Interceptor - 06-22-2015

Enter The Dragon
Master Killer
Return to the 36th Chamber
The Kid With The Golden Arm
The Five Deadly Venoms

It's funny you mention that movie. I wouldn't put it in my top five, or maybe even my top 25, but it's one of those movies that if I come across it I'll stop and watch, even though I've seen it probably a dozen times. Makes me think of when I was a teen and it ran on Cinemax every other day in the late '80s.
