I think Jesus proposed taking care of everyone long before Matt did.  You might try being a little less selfish and a little more selfless. But, I'm just some wingnut, coocoo for cocoa puffs military veteran who believes in selfless service to this country and its citizens. Crazy, right?

At least we won't need to worry about "death panels" to decide who gets care and who doesn't when we're not going to provide any care at all. Sounds like a plan.

Maybe that is not a great example.  But every industrialized country on earth has some sort of government health care.  I can't believe it can be that impossible to do.

Hmm, some inconsistencies with some things I had been looking at, but it was 2012 data anyway. I am curious to look at some of those numbers again.

Anyway, notice who doesn't make that list? Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway. Those nations do many things for their citizens. I'm not saying they are perfect or that their models would work for us. But they are examples that it can be done without the crushing debt we see in some places.

Addition: Here is a link to the CIA World Factbook listing the percentages. https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2186rank.html I have looked at the IMF numbers as well, but running those reports I can't link them here.
