I didn't see the selection but I have read that Saban wasn't excited about this pick, either. After a brief pause, he said Burton was "emotionally immature" and seemed pretty flat about him being selected. This is secondhand information, so take it for what it is worth. Maybe someone else saw him comment on Burton and can confirm or deny.

I think the Bengals had some inside info from TJ to help us with this pick.. i like that he is working with him...

I hate the girl punching part first and foremost, but the "thinking he had arrived" part is extremely concerning from a football standpoint. I hate assholes like that. He's got a hell of a lot to prove here.

I’ll admit I wasn’t aware of the temper concerns, but I like what I see on the field from Burton. He looks very close to pro ready. Wouldn’t mind a project like mccaffrey later.
