God I love Mike Huckabee, and I love Ron Paul. Therefore I love his crazy son.

I want one of them to win it all! I will however be voting Mike in the Republican Primaries most likely.

I wish I knew who my person was for this election cycle. Honestly, no one excites me. We have open primaries here, so I don't even know which one I will be voting in when it comes to that.

No one excites me and a few make me want to run down the middle aisle of the capitol flailing my arms and torso while projectile vomiting at such an angle that would best coat the occupants of both sides.

Pretty clear cut. Unless you don't mind being at war or being spied on.... If you don't mind That then yeah there is lots to choose from.

I don't see it as such. Even the ones you are referring to here have some things that give me pause about them.

Yeah that's why I said it matters how you view foreign policy. If it's not a big deal to be at war... then yeah there are lots of choices. But you can't have sound fiscal reform while we are spending out of control while at war. And if you like domestic spending you can't spend domestically like you believe we should of we are at war.

How we conduct ourselves overseas is a lynchpin issue when it comes to the others.

You are right. What we are able to do at home, and indeed just trying to be fiscally responsible in general, is completely dependent on how hawkish the administration is. But the issue is that even if I agree with the more dove mentality doesn't mean I will agree with what they would do domestically or how they would balance the budget.

Fair enough... It's getting to be a more stark comparison. Which is what we need... Dems are going more socialism Plus the GOP is pulling more classic conservative. The progressives are getting easier to spot

Because of the "Blue Wall", you need not worry.
The blue wall is a block of states no republican candidate can realistically hope to win. The last election date saw that block add New Hampshire to it's numbers and Virgina is shifting to blue. Just about any Democratic candidate can expect to win 257 electoral votes out of the 270 needed to win. If Virgina joins New Hampshire, that number will be 270 out of 270.
For a GOP candidate to win, he must win all 9 toss up states and one solidly blue state. In short, "it ain't go happen." Another landslide victory for the Dems coming up!

The Republican Party can grow deeper support but not broader support... thank goodness.

Don't count on Virginia going blue. It's a pretty purple state. Democratic Governor, Republican General Assembly. NoVA and the 757 are the only true blue areas in the state.

What makes it so much of a wildcard is that there is no party registration and there are open primaries. So if the Dems know going in that the primary won't be much of a battle, they will vote in the GOP primary in an attempt to gum up the works.

RE: 2016 Elections POTUS Field - StLucieBengal - 05-16-2015

If your counting obama's states as states that Dems will actually keep your dreaming. Voting was high because he was black. Plus he mobilized youth. Hillary won't get the youth vote and that's where the enthusiasm comes from.

And as bullet proof as Dems think they are ..... They seem to lose a lot of non obama elections lately.

Do you even know who Edward Snowden is? We are so far past 'being spied on' there is no going back regardless of which shit for brains is running the country.

Large provisions of the bulk data collection go away June 1. Plus the court decision that it was unconstitutional. Yes it's a problem, and yes we can crawl out from under.

Or we could just choose your way and give up and let the progressives lord over us

I don't think you have a grasp of what the NSA is capable of, bro. Maybe you should read up on what Mr. Snowden said he could simply do with your phone. The technology he spoke of is pretty frightening, but worth the risk. There really is no choice when it comes to the reach of technology.

The only concern we should have when it comes to technology is sentient machines.
