Some Steelers limited partners want a coaching change - Bengalholic - 01-16-2018

'Per a source with knowledge of the situation, some of the team’s limited partners intend to lobby owner Art Rooney to fire of Tomlin and to hire a new coach.

The limited partners, who became involved nearly a decade ago as member of the Rooney family sold their interest in the team after acquiring gaming interests that violate league policy, have no authority over the management of the team, but they have a pipeline to owner Art Rooney. Per the source, they plan to utilize it.'

The good: dissension in shitsburgh is always s good thing.

The bad: the players and organization rally around him and they reach the super bowl next year.

I doubt much, if anything, comes of this

Maybe they should put up a billboard. That always works.

Say they get rid of Tomlin, I'd like to see his record with another team, a team not loaded with marquee players and NFLS biggest payroll. The guy looks lost on the sidelines. And the time he stepped onto the field during the Ravens game, extremely bush league. They have more coaches making the news over there for infamous crap than players. Watch the Steelers unravel and become a bottom feeder by three more seasons. If not by next season.

They're too good at acquiring talent to ever get anywhere near the bottom.  Other than that, I agree with everything you say.

Who would they replace him with Arians?

Normally would agree. But seen this article this morning: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-big-ben-%E2%80%98massively-frustrated%E2%80%99-with-tomlin/ar-AAuP0X2?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U348DHP

I read that too.  Seems all is not well in "paradise".

One of the things that points to lack of discipline, a few actually , some of the over the top cheap shots they've gotten away with for far too long which isn't sustainable and just little shit like their over the top sideline and end zone cutesy celebrations.. You know when they're playing peek a boo after a TD it doesn't strike anyone as mature nor disciplined. It strikes me and a lot of people as childish bush league crap.. I'm guessing it also pisses off opposing teams and players to make them want to hurt them .

I would agree, but he's been there 11yrs. Usually a sucky coach can destroy a good team in 2-3. He has some coaching skills.
