Macron admits French public would vote to Frexit the EU - StLucieBengal - 01-24-2018 https://www.google.com/amp/www.breitbart.com/london/2018/01/21/frexit-macron-admits-french-public-would-probably-vote-leave-eu-given-chance/amp/ So why not let the people vote to decide if they wish to stay or go? Quote:FREXIT: Macron Admits French Public Would 'Probably' Vote to Leave the EU if Given the Chance RE: Macron admits French public would vote to Frexit the EU - BmorePat87 - 01-24-2018 French President suggests that anytime a complicated issue is offered up as "yes" or "no" rather than within the context of asking how to fix it, people will "probably" opt to ditch it, but he "isn't taking any bets". Great non story RE: Macron admits French public would vote to Frexit the EU - StLucieBengal - 01-24-2018 (01-24-2018, 10:36 AM)BmorePat87 Wrote: French President suggests that anytime a complicated issue is offered up as "yes" or "no" rather than within the context of asking how to fix it, people will "probably" opt to ditch it, but he "isn't taking any bets". Ummmm. So he said it then got nervous he was too honest. Then tried to play the “it’s too complicated for the media to report”..... yeah that makes sense. Quote:“If France had had a referendum it might have had the same result,” suggested Marr. Quote:Macron, who visibly fidgeted and bit his nails after the gaffe, became fearful of appearing in front of the press shortly after winning the presidency. Well, there's this from last May where Macron talks about a potential Frexit unless the EU reforms. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-39766334 So I'm nor sure I would call this a non-story. In a sense, you need globalists leaders in the EU for the EU to continue to work. Globablists believe still in what the EU has the potential to be, rather than what it actually has done. Macron is basically acknowledging people don't see the benefit, and if you let those people choose they are going to opt out. Curious that the elite would appear to block their citizens from an opportunity to choose. RE: Macron admits French public would vote to Frexit the EU - Sociopathicsteelerfan - 01-24-2018 The EU is an utterly failed experiment. The idea of an economic free trading bloc was, and still is, an excellent idea. Trying to create the United States of Europe is, and will always be, a horrible idea. We're talking about nations with thousands of years of national identity being asked, actually demanded, to secede their sovereignty to an, essentially, federal governing body. If they fail to adhere they are threatened with dire reprisals and disenfranchisement. As is it's become Germany, and to a lesser extent France, imposing their will on other member states. |
