Dalton Changes Helmet (And I don't mean his haircut) - SHRacerX - 05-29-2018

From USA today:

Perhaps the most exciting thing I read in this article was at the very bottom where it mentioned Cincinnati as a potential host city for the NFL draft. I am sure it can happen someday, but here is to hoping it is some time in the next five years.

That'd be cool if the draft came here. I'd definitely go down for Days One and Two at least.

If the draft came, I'd make the trip down 100%.

EDIT:** What a completely useless and frivolous article lol.

Quote:No word on if this is a full-time change for Dalton of if he’s just experimenting.

It’d be fitting if Dalton mixes it up though. He’s coming off one of the worst years of his career and offensive coordinator Bill Lazor says he wants to push the veteran in ways nobody has before.
The author of this article is an idiot. Dalton's helmet is now 1 of 10 banned from the league.....

Quote:Previously, NFL players could choose any helmet as long as it passed certification standards. Six of the substandard helmets are prohibited immediately, while the other four may be worn by players who used them in 2017 but not by new players.

The 10 helmets are Rawlings' Impulse and Impulse+, Quantum and Tachyon; SG Varsity and SG 2.0; Schutt Vengeance Z10 (model 204100), Air XP (model 789002) and Air XP Pro (model 789102); and Riddell VSR-4 (model R41133). About 200 players used those helmets last season.

What a shame.  When I was playing, I loved my Riddell VSR IV.

I miss the older helmets (as in 80's and 90's). The iconic stripes on the new "revolution" helmets just don't look as good. But I guess those older helmets are too dangerous Whatever
