Brazil Homicides - TheLeonardLeap - 08-09-2018 Man... this is crazy considering you have to wonder how many people just "vanish" in Brazil and aren't ever reported as homicides because their police are too busy only arresting suspects for TEN PERCENT of homicides. Brazil has a population of roughly 2/3rds ours (but is still the 5th biggest country in the world by population). To give even better context, if you scaled Chicago's homicides up to Brazil's 207.65m population, they would still only have 49,990 homicides in 2017 (59,296 even if you use Chicago's much higher 2016 homicide count). https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/a-devastating-scenario-brazil-sets-new-record-for-homicides-at-63880-deaths/ar-BBLIXQc?OCID=ansmsnnews11 Quote:Brazil broke its own record for homicides last year, according to new figures which showed that 63,880 people were killed in 2017 – a 3% increase from the previous year. RE: Brazil Homicides - Millhouse - 08-10-2018 Yeah Brazil is the worst for homicides in Central and South America, and that is saying something because Latin America is the world's most dangerous region. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2018/03/latin-america-is-the-worlds-most-dangerous-region-but-there-are-signs-its-turning-a-corner/ But lets just open our borders and act like we have a bunch of Canadas south of us |
