RE: Michael Cohen plea - michaelsean - 08-21-2018 So if what he pled to is accurate does that make Trump guilty of the same thing? An interesting aside to all of this is that the Mueller investigation team has said they do not require Cohen's cooperation. I have to wonder if that is because he is damaged goods, or because they have everything they need. RE: Michael Cohen plea - bfine32 - 08-21-2018 Of all the crying Wolf, this to me is where there's actually a wolf. I hope at a minimum FLOTUS tells him to F-off and hooks up with bfine. RE: Michael Cohen plea - SunsetBengal - 08-21-2018 And still, not a thing related to "Russian collusion".. That's why Mueller referred it to a different prosecution team. Actually, I think I heard that you cannot indict a sitting President. That's why when they talk about Trump during this case, they have referred to him as "the candidate" rather than by name. It has yet to be tested in the courts whether a sitting POTUS can face indictments through the judiciary because Nixon resigned before it got that far. Paying of porn stars before an election and colluding with Russia may not count as either--until we get a Democratic house. Hopefully, wen don't have to wait until sometime in the distant future for a Democratic House to bring POTUS to task for his comments about paying off women he had affairs with. As self-centered and paranoid as Nixon was, he actually did care about the country and the Constitution to a degree. He had just fully convinced himself that HE was what was best for the country for awhile there, regardless of laws. Most actually do care about the country and the Constitution enough to make good choices rather than ones that make extremists cheer.
