London Bound - pally - 01-21-2019

2019 Bengals vs Rams will be in London. Rams are the designated home team so we don't lose a game here at PB

Gross

RE: London Bound - Speedy Thomas - 01-21-2019

Better than us going to LA. Both teams will be jet-lagged.

I hate trips that take 8 to 10 hours. One more example the league could care less about US fans and the players. I have a novel idea, fix the corrupt system and group of refs to make the games fair. Blown calls like yesterday costing Saints a SB appearance or refs fixing games. I say the latter as no way 8 refs miss that call yesterday.

Best thing about it, is we don't lose a home game. Rams got the raw end of the deal considering they lost a home game and how far they have to travel.

Suxx that it's in London, but still pretty cool that the student gets to go up against the teacher in his first year.

RE: London Bound - BengalFanInNJ - 01-21-2019

Game will end in a tie. Again.

And I dont expect much. There is a lot of work to be done with this team.

RE: London Bound - Goalpost - 01-21-2019

So this game gets played early in the morning here right?

RE: London Bound - Synric - 01-21-2019

Ugh I hate that field always seems like more people fall and kicking is iffy.

WTF?  This could not have worked out better for us.

This was going to be our longest road trip anyway, so not that much changes for us.  But the Rams not only have to give up a home crowd advantage they also have to make a flight that is considerably longer than ours.

RE: London Bound - Pat5775 - 01-21-2019

Well, I guess if we just have to play a London game, this is the best way to go about it. The Rams should, in theory, be more jet-lagged than the Bengals

RE: London Bound - Beaker - 01-21-2019

4 hours time difference if we fly west to LA. 5 hours time difference if we fly east to London....no big difference for us. The Rams however, will lose a home game, and have to negotiate a 9 hour time difference from LA to London.

4 hrs? It's only 3.

RE: London Bound - Synric - 01-21-2019

I wonder how they choose which teams play in London cuz this will be the 3rd year in a row the Raiders have too. 7th time the Jaguars will be in London...

The Broncos haven't played in London since 2010 the Steelers since 2013 both being the only appearance.

RE: London Bound - need2mellowout - 01-21-2019

I'll be in London sometime 3rd-4th week of September. Wifey and I may need to include Bengals gear in our packing.

The Jags volunteered for London.  Raiders can't find a stadium for 2019 so it makes sense to use them

I do know, other than the Jags, the games are on a rotation based on the home team. So a team could have multiple years of London games based on who they are playing.
