AAF Players - pally - 04-04-2019

I haven't followed them at all, so now that the players can sign with NFL teams is there anyone worth taking a look at?

RE: AAF Players - Au165 - 04-04-2019

WR Charles Johnson showed he can be a capable depth guy with upside.

RE: AAF Players - Truck_1_0_1_ - 04-04-2019

A bunch:

- Trent Richardson (seriously)
- Karter Schult (guy is a GREAT DE, easily the best defensive lineman in the league)
- Nick Truesdell (TE that caught all of his targets, but 1)
- Rashad Ross (probably the best WR in the league)
- Charles Johnson (yes that one; guy had a great season)
- Cyril Richardson
- Kenneth Farrow (good RB)
- Younghoe Koo (best kicker)
- Quinton Patton (never should've left the NFL)
- Scott Orndoff (TE that used to be with us; Marv constantly referred to him by his first name and "when he was with us.")

Lots of guys.

RE: AAF Players - Synric - 04-04-2019

WR Rashad Ross and CB De'Vante Bausby

How can we not sign Younghoe Koo (best kicker)?

RE: AAF Players - kdgjr - 04-04-2019

NFL sent memo to all teams not to talk to them.

Something about possible litigation and NFL teams aren't allowed to other leagues teams.

NFL Teams Can’t Sign AAF Players
April 4th, 2019 at 11:34am CST by Zach Links
The Alliance of American Football suspended operations for the season and its future is very much in doubt. Still, the league’s players are not yet free agents by NFL standards, Mike Florio of PFT hears.

Multiple sources tell Florio the NFL has instructed teams to refrain from talking to AAF players or their representatives. Furthermore, any team that violates that order may be in jeopardy of losing draft picks.

As of this writing, the AAF player contracts are still in tact, even though they will not be playing in any more games for the league and will not be paid going forward. Therefore, NFL teams cannot negotiate with those players until the contracts are technically breached.

The AAF isn’t exactly star-studded, but the league does/did have a handful of players who could be on the NFL radar. Players like quarterback Garrett Gilbert, running back Zac Stacy, wide receivers Charles Johnson and Jalin Marshall, and defensive end Damontre Moore will have to wait until they’re out of contractual limbo before exploring their next chance in the NF

The Chiefs ignored them then...They just signed CB Keith Reaser.

Thanks for this Truck, wouldn't mind bringing in Truesdell, Rashad Ross, Charles Johnson or that Kicker Koo.

Heck yes, always liked Derron and it was a mistake of us to put him on the PS in the first place.

Thanks for the heads up!

RE: AAF Players - pally - 04-04-2019

I do know QB Logan Woodside joined the league. Did he show enough to a least make a PS?

Bring back Derron Smith for safety depth. They should have never let him go in the first place.

RE: AAF Players - Atomic Orange - 04-04-2019

Another vote for Derron Smith

RE: AAF Players - NKURyan - 04-04-2019

Why would Derron Smith *want* to come back?

NFL be better than the AAF?

Technically the arena league is better than one that doesn’t exist.

Every team in the NFL disagrees with you.

That is why he was in the AAF.

No doubt, guess thats my point. Of course Derron would want another shot in the NFL even if it is the ones that put him on the PS that he got picked off of. We didn't cut Derron so there should be no ill will.
