Top Gun Movie Flaw? - BFritz21 - 01-13-2021
Before Maverick goes up when he leaves his wingman to go get Viper, a pilot says "hey Maverick, did you hear about Ice? He won another one," but then, when Maverick and Goose are in the locker room after, Goose says "at least Viper got Ice before he got us."
Am I wrong?
Am I the only one that notices these things?

I think you got two locker room scenes mixed up. The first locker room scene is right after when Maverick flew below the 10000 ft hard deck. That's where Iceman won and Maverick thought he won as well. The 2nd locker room scene is after the air battle when Maverick left his wingman. Iceman lost that battle as well against Viper.
