The story of Ernie - Goalpost - 02-02-2021 https://www.wlwt.com/article/covington-police-mourn-loss-of-beloved-k-9-officer-ernie/35374120 Ernie came from another country when he was about a year old, He was then trained to be a canine dog and 'worked' in Northern Kentucky. Ernie's legacy is that a law was created in his name. He was shot twice and survived, but at the time there was no law to charge the person who assaulted him. I realize this isn't a huge political story but Ernie's life made the news around here. Developed specifically for his trainer only. I know I used to do some outside sales and occasionally/rarely would meet a K9 officer with his German Shepard at his house. Come to think of it, those dogs were always in a different room. |
