CJ to the Jets - pally - 03-14-2022

RE: CJ to the Jets - Au165 - 03-14-2022

I said in the “overrating” thread I thought he’d get around the Dissely deal and it looks like that’s what he got. Options at TE are getting a little thin for a veteran which is looking more and more like we may be going TE in the draft. Not the best draft for TE options that can contribute early though.

Womp, womp. I’ll miss that dude, but they were never gonna pay him 8 mil per year.

I hope he proves to be worth that and more.

Really loved the energy he brought to the team. Jets fans seem delighted. But it is an area the Bengals can improve on.

Damn. Guess money matters than all that rah rah shishkambah he put up all year. You've got the inferior Jets QB throwing to you, good luck CJ.

RE: CJ to the Jets - jj22 - 03-14-2022

Yikes. He really chased the money. The JETS? Really CJ. Ok.

RE: CJ to the Jets - M.W. - 03-14-2022

Hate to see him go but no way to pay him $8m.

RE: CJ to the Jets - thompson19osu - 03-14-2022

Who do we have at TE then? Honestly we dont have a TE. You can’t count Sample.

RE: CJ to the Jets - Luvnit2 - 03-14-2022

Interesting

Does the mean Gronk may be a possibility? I can't see him leaving without giving Bengals a shot?

I wish him well.

RE: CJ to the Jets - CardCounterChris - 03-14-2022

This one hits me in the feels. As a fan I love CJ. As a realistic take, he's a very replaceable TE. Still doesn't mean I wasn't hoping to see him resigned.

RE: CJ to the Jets - Soonerpeace - 03-14-2022

Probably going draft at #31 & 63 for Corner/OT. Probably a TE at #95.

RE: CJ to the Jets - THE PISTONS - 03-14-2022

I don't think $8 million a year is bad for him.

It's funny he was Mr Bengal. Loved being here. Then...goes to the Jets.

What do you guys think about Gerald Everett?

Get Gronk! Tell him jersey #87 is now available!

RE: CJ to the Jets - casear2727 - 03-14-2022

Good luck CJ

Mo Alie-Cox or Tyler Conklin are cheaper and I think could have more on field production than CJ.

Edit Mo back to Indy

Allie-Cox signed for 3 years 18 already.

He's basically a rich man's Drew Sample.
