Unfortunately, in some circles,  the answer to that is "That's why we have the 2nd amendment."

Yes. It's hard to beat all the money that the established and supported politicians can spend, though. Need to do something about Super PACs and campaign financing in general. They probably won't though because it's the people benefitting from it who would need to get rid of it.
