Last man standing....Jerry Lee.... - Wyche'sWarrior - 10-28-2022

The last star remaining from the Sun Records era of Rock n Roll, Jerry Lee Lewis passed away today. He was 87. He put out an album a few years ago titled "Last Man Standing" as he was the last of peers to still be alive. Carl Perkins, Elivs Presley, Johnny Cash, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and others have all gone on. He was definitely a controversial figure, but there was never any denying of his incredible talent.

My dad turned me on to him many years ago when I used to help him run his route during the summers. I've always listened to him. He was a member of both the Rock n Roll and Country Music Halls of Fame.

Rest easy Killer.

Had he not married his child bride would had been bigger than Elvis or the Beatles IMHO possibly. Just guessing. RIP!

I'd say you're right. That certainly cost him.

I was never a huge fan but my mom absolutely loved The Killer. RIP
