RE: Birmingham school accused of brain washing - GMDino - 12-12-2015 http://adderleyprimary.co.uk/ Looks like it is a private school. And it sounds not much different than when a good Christian family complains about "happy holidays" or having their child be exposed to a book they feel goes against their religious teachings. RE: Birmingham school accused of brain washing - StLucieBengal - 12-12-2015 Teachers religious beliefs are irrelevant. It's not much different than when one of my friends, who was a good teacher at a Catholic Private school for over a decade, was fired when a new Dean came in and made it a requirement that all teachers be active practitioners in the Church. She was not a Catholic so she lost her job. Now there could be legalities involved if they can prove that their resignations were indeed forged. If this is a religious school then that's fine. But causing issues because the women in charge isn't the right kind of religion or because she won't dress like a slave or underling is not the way we do business in the west. They can assimilate or get out: RE: Birmingham school accused of brain washing - Vas Deferens - 12-12-2015 (12-12-2015, 01:08 PM)StLucieBengal Wrote: Teachers religious beliefs are irrelevant. Your complete disregard for grammar and sentence structure makes it difficult to read your posts and interpret them as the view of a well-informed individual. As you stated recently, "details matter." Try to hold yourself to the same standard. This is western civilization. Assimilate. It's working gooder RE: Birmingham school accused of brain washing - BmorePat87 - 12-13-2015 So a private school with a Muslim majority, run almost entirely by Muslims, is having a disagreement over how religious the school should be? Some want it more conservative while others want it more moderate? Sounds like the free market will work this problem out. That's how private schools work, right?
