87 touchdowns, only 10 interceptions.

Or maybe Dan Raudabaugh? Just 8 yards shy of 5000 yards last year. 119 touchdowns 12 interceptions. Both have a ~66% completion rate. Sure it is the Arena League, but don't forget that is where Kurt Warner came from.

Or go to the Canadian league, where Warren Moon once got his start. Bo Mitchell is 25, from Katy, Texas (I'm guessing he and Andy might even know each other?), threw for 4551 yards in 17 games, with 26 TDs and 13 INTs and a 65% completion rate this year.

Yeah, I know it is unlikely to happen or even result in some huge success story, but the idea that there are no intriguing possibilities for backup QB seems wrongheaded to me.

Yeah, it's a bottle of AWESOME!!!!

No, you're right, it's ****** up.  "Latin Laser" might move some jerseys, though, so Mike's wheels are turning.

It worked when we were looking for an OC. Why not a QB?

bumping my goofy ideas cuz...well why not. Yeah it is AJ's non-throwing wrist, but it does make you think about having a backup one can get excited about -- I don't currently feel that way about Wenning.

AJ is a champ I have a feeling he will do whatever it takes to be on the field...

If I went for any of the other leagues for a QB, I would see how Zach Collaros is doing in the CFL. Davila is 30 already, Collaros is still only 27 and also plays in a football league that I would trust the transfer of skills/stats much more than AFL where it's just absurd offensive numbers. CFL produced Warren Moon, Jeff Garcia, Joe Theismann, Joe Horn, and Cameron Wake.

Not to mention Collaros had 70.2% completion, 3378 yards, 25 TD/8 INT, and 9.4 YPA in 12 games. So he wasn't exactly a bum up there, eh?

Meh, Collaros isn't much to write home about. Ricky Ray is still the best choice for an NFL team from a talent/ability standpoint, but he's, I think, 36 now? Not a stellar choice.

Travis Lulay wouldn't be bad, actually.

If he grabs the ball with his mouth and spits it for a TD I will be a true believer. Tongue

He was at training camp this year, albeit watching from the sidelines joking with some of his Giant buddies during the joint practice......heck use him as additional blocker as well....lol
