Let's see if no fine or suspension for Shazier (should be both) before we listen to a bunch of guys who don't understand or know the rules.

Yes, bengals fans.

so a suspension for a first time offense compared to 3 games for 10+ offenses

drugs are bad dude

Would a 1 game suspension be fair for a first timer? If indeed the NFL is really trying to enforce player safety?

They haven't suspended someone for a first offense yet.  That's usually a fine.

how many fines and and penalties has he accrued?

The question was about shazier, he's the first timer, not Burfict.

what offense did shazier commit, as their was no flag on the play and everything going around is that it was a clean hit

maybe when shazier gets flagged for something like what burfict did, it will be a fine as its a first time offense

If they were serious about player safety.

Or if they had done it before.

So...no.

Oh well there was no flag on Burfict when he hit Ben's leg.  There was a fine though.  What Shazier did was illegal.  That you guys didn't/don't know the rules is on you.

Griever logic:

Leads with the helmet = clean

Leads with the shoulder = dirty

Hilarious

Both hits were illegal according to the rules. Saying somehow one was worse than the other just because no flag was thrown is like saying a Turd sandwich is better than a turd taco just because the taco had a hair in it.

oh the difference between a runner and a defenseless receiver

but keep grasping, theres always next year

If you dont think Gio was a defenseless receiver then youre the one who's grasping. Everyone in the nation who wasn't rooting for the steelers knows that the call on Gio's hit was incorrect.

Doesn't matter.  Read the damn rule.  It's been posted here several times.

Sine 2013 it's been illegal to lead with the crown of the helmet.

Quote:“Article 8. Initiating Contact with the Crown of the Helmet

It is a foul if a runner or tackler initiates forcible contact by delivering a blow with the top/crown of his helmet against an opponent when both players are clearly outside the tackle box (an area extending from tackle to tackle and from three yards beyond the line of scrimmage to the offensive team’s end line). Incidental contact by the helmet of a runner or tackler against an opponent shall not be a foul.”

So the difference between a runner and defenseless receiver means nothing. If this was 2012 you'd be correct. You just missed it by 4 years.

RE: About the Joey Porter thing - 6andcounting - 01-12-2016

After clarifying that Porter did not recieve a game ball, Tomlin added: "This is what I'm gonna do about all of that so that we can move on. I think it's appropriate. Cincinnati is afforded the opportunity to sit around days after the game and rehash what happened. We're not afforded that opportunity. We've got a challenge - a formidable one - waiting on us in Denver. I said what I said after the game. I thought it appropriately summarized the play. We got respect for those guys. We understood what was at stake for them and us.

That's why we pull their hair and send our LB coach out to talk smack in their D huddle during an injury TO.

Whatever

STFU Tomlin.

RE: About the Joey Porter thing - BigPapaKain - 01-13-2016

Now the Steelers are banning the media from talking to Porter.

Shocker.

RE: About the Joey Porter thing - Griever - 01-13-2016

well they dont want porter to say anything to crack the fragile minds of the bengals and their fans

its clear that porter is still in their heads after being retired
