My mock too - Goalpost - 04-11-2016

1. Jarran Reed...DT...Alabama
He is a safe pick. Mostly a two down player. Clogs the inside. Would be a useful to have in goal line packages. Heir apparent to Peko. Very sound controlling gaps. Consistently good by game.

2. Deion Jones...LB...LSU
Bengals bend but don't break defense can bend less. A finalist for the Butkus award. Would be useful to add a young speedy LB in packages,

3. Matt Juden...DE...Grand Valley St.
Small school. Led the nation in sacks. Clocked a 4.65 at his pro day. Situational pass rusher replaces Gilberry.

4. Malcolm Mitchell...WR...Georgia
Clocked a 4.45. 36 vertical. 129 broad. Injury concerns, but he seems healthy, and why not, we seem to do well with Georgia players. Good route runner

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/malcolm-mitchell?id=2555216

5. Jay Lee...WR...Baylor
Can play on the outside. 4.53 but almost 20 per catch. Even threw a TD pass to Corey Coleman.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/jay-lee?id=2555213

6. Brandon Williams...CB...Texas AM
Very little experience, he only played one year at CB. Gifted speed though, he clocked a 4.37. High ceiling potential to be patient with.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/brandon-williams?id=2555556

7. Jordan Lomax...S...Iowa
Not much speed. But he likes to enforce and hit hard.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/jordan-lomax?id=2555541

As much as I'd like a WR 1st...which I'd be ok with....would prefer still to add defensive players.
Would like to add an O-lineman but couldn't squeeze one in.

RE: My mock too - Cornelius - 04-11-2016

Deion's a stud with low mileage. Not sure how he runs a 4.59 at combine, then 4.38 at pro day.

Easily, human timing vs. video timing.

Nice, I just did a similar draft. I would not be shocked if the Bengals waited till the mid rounds to take a WR. Kinda prepping myself for it.

RE: My mock too - Thundercloud - 04-12-2016

I like Reed, but I feel we need much stronger priority on wide receivers.

RE: My mock too - Crowe - 04-12-2016

Really like this draft, especially the first 3 picks. Could probably pick at least 1 better WR than what you have, but overall solid through and through.

Completely understand.

However we still have other needs.  Bengals were 2nd in fewest points given up, but i think 18th in defensive 3rd down percentage.  Reed is somewhat of a luxury pick, but early on I wanted to add some juice here to the current status of the club.

RE: My mock too - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 04-12-2016

Love this draft. Adding Reed and Juden really helps the Defense as a whole.

Deion Jones is that athletic LB we have been missing.

Mitchell has talent and could become that #2 when Lafell is gone. I also think some are a little too concerned at WR.
We still have lots of weapons and i think Burkhead, Alford, Kroft, Kumerow all have talent behind Green, Eifert, Gio,
Lafell etc. Adding Mitchell and Jay Lee would be nice additions. Defense wins championships.
