I always figured insurance companies would just say claims that result from the effects of global warming aren't covered, and they will decide what has been caused by global warming. For real though, it makes sense that insurance companies would eventually stand against climate change. Climate change causes more severe hurricanes, tornadoes and storms, which they will then have to pay for. About ten minutes north of where I live they just had a massive flood. Five inches of rain in about 30 minutes. We went to try and help with some clean up last night and it looks like a war zone. 14 homes (so far) condemned. People have lost everything. In one area a wall collapsed in a church from the sheer volume of the rain. The insurance company said they won't cover it because it was...wait for it...an act of God. I hate insurance companies and their scams. But maybe they can do some good for once. RE: Insurance Giants Call on G20 to Stop Bankrolling Fossil Fuels - michaelsean - 08-31-2016 That's something for Trees's thread. I loathe insurance companies. Although that's pretty bipartisan I imagine. They would b about the only ones. I believe their rooms in Hell are right next door to each other.
