Trump Cites Police, Military, ICE Endorsements That Didn't Happen - GMDino - 10-27-2016 But Clinton...she's the liar. ![]() Quote:Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump frequently touts his support among law enforcement and military figures. He is delusional. RE: Trump Cites Police, Military, ICE Endorsements That Didn't Happen - BmorePat87 - 10-27-2016 That 500 retired generals/admirals for Romney compared to 88 for Trump was a pretty shocking number. RE: Trump Cites Police, Military, ICE Endorsements That Didn't Happen - Griever - 10-27-2016 did someone say delusional? http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/303025-trump-ill-teach-military-expert-a-couple-of-things RE: Trump Cites Police, Military, ICE Endorsements That Didn't Happen - oncemoreuntothejimbreech - 10-27-2016 (10-27-2016, 09:28 AM)BmorePat87 Wrote: That 500 retired generals/admirals for Romney compared to 88 for Trump was a pretty shocking number. Yea, 4 or 5 endorsements? That fits his narrative, though, "the media is against me". He brags about these military endorsements, but, man that's not nearly as impressive as Mitt Romney getting 500. In fact, it hurts his argument. RE: Trump Cites Police, Military, ICE Endorsements That Didn't Happen - TheLeonardLeap - 10-27-2016 In fairness to Trump. (And F having to actually type that out and somewhat defend him.) "But the agency has not endorsed any candidate, nor is it able to. Instead the union representing ICE employees, National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council, gave the Republican nominee its backing. And it represents just a quarter of the more than 20,000 employees that work at the agency." So the 1/4th of the employees who are actually capable of legally making an endorsement, chose him. Also making the distinction between ICE and the union of ICE employees seems rather pedantic. What is a company/organization if not their employees? Companies/organizations often have intense court battles against the unions that represent their employees. Actually just another example of Trump having a kind of an idea roughly of some point or fact and then talking like he knows what he's talking about. Unprepared, unwilling to learn anything. Is there a distinction between the NFL and the NFLPA? Well, that is the distinction between ICE and the union. I'm not saying Trump wasn't ill informed or outright badly overstating his support, but it's obvious he does have some there. No worse than Hillary saying all 17 intelligence agencies' investigations told her that the hacks were Russia. As if the Coast Guard Intelligence and Department of Energy's Office of Intelligence are spending their time investigating Hillary and Podesta's emails. Take the BS with a big grain of salt when either of them open their mouth. I don't think it's quite the same thing. After all, the Joint Statement refers to "intelligence community" unanimity about the hacking. https://www.dhs.gov/news/2016/10/07/joint-statement-department-homeland-security-and-office-director-national Clinton's statement would be "no worse" than Trump's if only five intelligence agencies agreed Russia was the hacker, while 8 disputed the finding and four abstained. But that is not the case. RE: Trump Cites Police, Military, ICE Endorsements That Didn't Happen - rfaulk34 - 10-30-2016 (10-27-2016, 07:06 AM)GMDino Wrote: But Clinton...she's the liar. RE: Trump Cites Police, Military, ICE Endorsements That Didn't Happen - Nately120 - 11-01-2016 This reminds me that I saw a Trump bumper stick that said "TRUMP 2016 - NO MORE BULLSHIT." Hilarious, as even for a politician the guy is full of, and constantly spouting bullshit. Anyways, in Trump's defense...he made it this far making crap up and saying absurd things, so why stop now? |
