Trump's private server communicates with Russia - GMDino - 11-01-2016

Long article, lots of details.

People "not defending Trump" probably shouldn't read it because it will make him look really sketchy.

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/cover_story/2016/10/was_a_server_registered_to_the_trump_organization_communicating_with_russia.html

tl;dr

A private server is used almost exclusively to communicate with a banking entity in Russia.  Both sides deny it despite the evidence.

Interesting. As the article emphasizes, this is not a smoking gun. It's a lot of evidence that is more likely human traffic rather than automatic mail erroneously bouncing back and forth, but it's not inherently nefarious. Further evidence that Trump and his campaign do business with Russia? Sure, but maybe the other way around, they're doing business with his companies. It's a marketing site set up by a hotel marketing company contracted by Trump. It would make a great twist in a political thriller, but not enough to make a big deal over.

We wouldn't want to make a big deal out of something that admittedly could be nothing...

NY Times has already said it's nothing when Hillary tried to accuse Trump of ties with Russia.
I did read all about it last night. Lots of interesting stuff about how they monitor the Internet Traffic.

Well it's not nothing. As it was pointed out in the article, DNS look ups don't just occur for no reason, especially Ip limited ones that restrict communication between white listed users. The argument of responses to SPAM email would hold water if there was more traffic and it was more predictable. The communication loop patterns don't match a server trying to bounce back a SPAM message. Lots of red flags across the board, and the renaming and re connection after the fact show there was intent.

Why doesn't Trump just come forward and tell the truth?  What is he hiding?

Hahah, that is beyond the scope of what I know on this topic. All I know is that wasn't incidental interactions, not enough evidence in criminal court but more than enough in civil.

No room for you on the Trump bandwagon.
