***Week 11 GameDay Thread - Bengals @ Raiders***

Exactly., The "OL sucks" thing is a pat response. Burrow has had some pressure but also has had plenty of time to throw but is off target. He also is making bad decisions in the pocket. He just took a sack when he EASILY could have either scrambled through the hole or thrown it away. The sack-fumble was also him just sitting there holding the ball.

Also, this is where our sucking at traps, draws and screens hurts. They are pass rushing aggressively but we do absolutely nothing to burn the rush.

Downfield. Higgins as only 2 targets all day.

The constant pressure and Jamarr chase is turning burrow into mister 1 read

I have just seen 4 times or so now where Burrow scrambles out of the pocket while there is no pressure. The OL can't block for him if he runs out of there, and the offense can do nothing if he is busy running rather than looking down field.

The OL is terrible, but Burrow is also playing scared. To quote Sam Darnold, he is seeing ghosts out there. It makes the situation worse.

Imagine if the raiders had Teeggins, Chase & Boyd.

Thanks. Sirius is my "go to" while travelling, but today the Bengals game is on the same game as the New Orleans game. Although NO was getting beat by about 30 points they stayed with it until it was over. I missed the first 10ish minutes of the Bengals game

Sam almost ended his career with those 3-4 words

They said at half time Burrow sacked twice, 9 pressures and 5 hits.  He has 18 passing attempts.   So he has been pressured half of his attempts.

Yeah, the line isn't as bad as many make it out to be. Don't get me wrong, they are good, but they aren't an awful line. Burrow shares responsibility, but he is so likeable that many people don't blame him.

They don’t want to accept that Frank pollack and Riley reef aren’t the answers

They really thought the 3 studs at receiver would just magically open up the running game

Coming into this game Bengals are in the Bottom 10 in sacks allowed and rushing yards per game.  That's a good indicator the Oline is still not very good.  The offense has relied primarily on a lot of big plays.  Hard to maintain that.

Also. can someone rational tell me if the poor offensive showing to date is more on the Qb or Oline?

Pressures are also QB controlled. It isn't all on the offensive line, the QB and o-line share responsibility there.

He was sacked only 2 times? Seems like he was sacked at least 3-4?! He fumbled the first sack, he almost fumbled another, he almost broke his knee on another. Guess they didn't call that first sack a sack because he fumbled on it lol

Also who gets the ball to start the 2nd half?

Yes. And it looks a lot like game #10 last year when Burrow was under constant pressure--complete with grabbing his knee on that last sack.

Raiders get it.

O-line.  They're getting pushed around  It's been ugly.

A bit of both. Burrow is really skittish right now. He's holding onto the ball and has bailed on a couple of clean pockets. Offensive line has struggled as well.

Issue is the offense not the players.

Nope. Not buying it. Guys are getting their asses beat right off the snap. Losing one on ones left and right.
