***Week 17 GameDay Thread - Chiefs @ Bengals***
Great call by KC there against single high, forced Bates to take Hill as first post in and then left Apple without help he thought he had. They played it correctly it was just the right call for the defensive call.

Eli Apple was playing outside technique he needed help inside vs a post. Problem is Hill ran a slot post pulling the single high safety and creating space behind for the outside receiver.

Bengals ran cover three, Apple was expecting Bates to be there to help. I think Bates took Hill, so #11 had space towards the inside of the field. I think if Bates took #11, Hill would have been open. I would have to watch it again.

Because it was EXTREMELY CLOSE to a first down, it could even be argued that he made it via forward progress when pass was caught.

Yes and if Taylor refuses to run the ball and has 3 quick passes and a 3 and out the defense simply gets no rest.  We should at least attempt to run.

KC is light years agead of the Browns on offense.

But it is gonna be dicey at best.

The comment is we will need to beat CLE to get into the playoffs and they crushed us once already. CLE will injure people to win, their defense is scary and Chubb is unstoppable.
