I just started watching this yesterday as I never heard of it before.  I'm really enjoying it and I'm not really big into super hero shows (which it kind of is and isn't at the same time IMO).   I'm mostly enjoying all the penises and butts.  However, there really hasn't been that many penises and butts but I'm only on season 1 episode 4.  Maybe that will improve.   Ninja

Really though it's a fun show so far with a lot of dark humor which I enjoy.  I have not really viewed the show with any kind of real world meaning to it, politics or whatever since it's fiction.   I found I enjoy movies and TV shows much more if I just look at it as entertainment, as intended, instead of trying to dissect everything as some sort of message or political statement.   So thanks OP for mentioning the show as it gave me something new and fun to watch.

Now, I'm going to binge watch more so I can get to all the penises and butts.   Tongue

I wonder how many MCU fanboys were like "you see!!!  I told you it would work!!"  (i think this is vague enough to be spoiler free)

Even Joe Rogan made fun of Shapiro for getting so triggered over the movie "Black Panther". But my all-time Shapiro stroke of genius was when he claimed that even if global warming was real and the sea levels rose 10 feet to flood all the costal areas that people would still just "sell their homes and move inland".  But for some reason he never explained who would buy these hom,es and businesses that were going under water. LMAO

He is a complete clown.  The only people who listen to him just want to be told what they want to hear.  So they don't care if it is completely ridiculous.

You reminded me of this little clip, thought I'd share a potential solution :)

One thing you'll notice very quickly is the stellar acting of the entire cast.

That includes the addition of Jensen Ackles, who was outstanding in S3E6.

As brilliant as Season 3 was, the Butcher v Homelander finales where both of them walk away are getting stale.

I've seen the first season. It was OK for me. I didn't love it, but I'll make my way back to it eventually. Does the Starlight chick ever get naked?

pushing boundaries is just another way of saying being dirty for the sake of being dirty. why not just put out the show without all the dirty stuff. if its a good show, then it'll be good without all that right?

No it is not.  That would be pornography.

The fact is that in the real world what you call "dirty stuff" really happens.  So why should it not be reflected in our entertainment?

a lot of nasty stuff happens in real life. that don't mean we need to see it in tv shows.

The quotidian is pretty boring.  The "nasty stuff" is usually a major portion of the "entertaining" part of real life.

Do you have a problem with the violence or just the nudity/sex stuff?

sorry friend, i don't find nasty to be entertaining. i see it corrupting young people minds and making them think that stuff is ok and accetable.

violence depends. if its just killing for the sake of killing like video games, yes it's harmful. if its a tv show or movie where a bad guy gets killed to protect people, then i dont see that as a problem because at least it shows the difference between good and bad.

I don't watch the show so I don't know exactly what you are talking about.

Are you claiming that sex is "unacceptable"?  What exactly is in the show that you find to be "nasty"?

one example is one man going into another mans penis. absolutely no way to justify that unless your just being nasty to be nasty. kids surely dont need to be seeing that. same with sex with an octupus.

How very American to be so prudish while the show also glorifies violence to the degree it does.
