When we win the first playoff game, we will have forgotten all about this game.
That is the monkey we need to knock off of our back. And we need to do it this season.

Damn, Marvin Lewis and Mike Brown must be vampires to live that long.

You didn't say "When we win the first playoff game in a few weeks." For all we know you could be talking about 2034 when the Bengals FINALLY snap their playoff drought!

I was thinking more like Futurama-style heads in jars. Can you imagine Mike Brown still being a GM 372 years after selecting Akili Smith?

Hmm, seems you did. Still, we're just opening the door to possibilities beyond.

Only four losses this year.
And three of the four losses (HOU, ARI and DEN) were decided by less than four points.
We were in those games and the results were in question until the very end.
This is not a bad team.

When you continuously lose these close games in the lights, that's on the coaches. The theme remains. I hope they when in the playoffs, but I trust that about as far as I can throw Giggles.

I don't think the lights mean all that much. Our toughest competition was scheduled in primetime. And we played them hard.
The three teams I mentioned (HOU, ARI, & DEN) above share one quality: they are three of the best defensive teams in the league. And PIT was no slouch.
If Hue can crack how to put one more TD on the board against these teams, then we don't need to fear seeing them in the playoffs or SB.

Winning the first playoff game means nothing. At home against a team that we should beat.
Losing a golden opportunity to really put the team in a position to contend for a Super Bowl bid was blown.

Tough loss last night but this team has shown they can play with anybody. Really couldn't ask any more of AJM. Missed tackle here & missed FG there, all these things played a part in getting beat last night. Get over it. The season is still alive. Beat the Ravens this week and see how it all shakes out.

They have shown they "can play with anybody" for years.
They have yet to show they can beat anybody.
Teams expect tough games from Cincinnati, but does anyone fear Cincinnati in a big game?
New England can have no healthy weapons, but people fear having to go through them in January.
Pittsburgh can look vulnerable all year, but if they get in, people will be scared of what they could do.
Denver will absolutely have a home field advantage and defense to back it up, regardless of their offense.
Cincinnati? Great, they are in, but nobody believes they are a real contender. Kind of reminds me of San Diego of the 2000's, tons of talent, but never broke through and was a threat.
