We're not the only ones who believe that Tra is a keeper: http://www.nfl.com/fantasyfootball/story/0ap3000000654212/article/tra-carson-built-for-early-goalline-work-in-fantasy With comparisons to Lacy, Williams, and Hightower, I wouldn't feel the least bit comfortable with trying sneak Carson thru waivers. I believe he's earned a roster spot.

This article was written in April before he was drafted. If the author knew he would be playing behind Jeremy Hill, I don't think he would have written the article.
If Carson was on a team that needed a goal line back, as he somewhat eluded to, he may indeed have some fantasy value.
Looking on the Brightside, he has what it takes to run in the NFL. We will see if he manages to stick around here.

If Hill or Gio get hurt we need more then Peerman to fill in. Burkhead is more of a receiver/gadget back and I don't have a lot of faith he could handle a large load of between the tackles work in their absence.

I haven't been able to watch any of the pre-season games yet, so haven't seen Carson play.
But, I'd like to point out that he wasn't drafted by anyone. We picked him up as a CFA.

He has done ok with the 3rd string but with the depth we have at RB and his lack of special teams ability he is nothing but a practice body who might make the practice squad

1. Zero chance he makes team without an injury
2. if we lose Gio and Hill together.. we are in big trouble, if one go down we can cover enough with Burkhead and Peerman which by the way has a 5.2 ypc in his career in regular season and has fumbled one time with around 335 carries, I will take that all day from our 4th back besides being a ALL PRO special teamer.

I view Carson as the RB that will sit on the PS in case Hill or Bernard are injured.
There won't be very much demand for him so he won't be in danger of being picked off of our PS.
We won't see a week where Peerman is pressed into playing time.
Nor will we see Carson on the opening day 53. Barring injuries.

Other than Burfict, how many udfa players get entire NFL fantasy football write-ups like this a couple days prior to the draft? Perhaps it was the toe injury (now healed) that scared folks off? I have little doubt that the kid is gonna prove that he belongs in the league.

As the article suggests, Tra's floor will be the Vulture Role (think Mike Tolbert, jr). His "prospect profiles" also seem to think the kid has some solid special teams potential (in your face Ced)

The great word that means "you have not done shit yet "... CP is a proven ALL PRO on Special Teams so no potential tag on CP

He was a pro bowler on Special teams. The All Pro teams consists of the 22 position players (plus 1 additional RB and 2 additional front 7 players) + the kicker, punter and return specialist.
There is no all pro special teams cover guy.

You can find "All Pro" special teamers in almost any lower rounds of the draft. Peerman is good at what he does on ST's, and that's about it. Don't try and hype the dude up.

Yep. We know what we'd be getting with Peerman at this point.
