I ran a league for 10 years (no one else wanted to do it when the first guy quit.) I had a losing record for all but one of those years (1 game over .500 that year) and won two championships. The last one I didn't change my lineup once over the last 6 games. I beat every team by more points than the previous one and just never did anything to the team.
Part of the reason why I quit playing. It's too random for my liking!

I was kind of discouraged this year because with 12 teams there was basically no one to pick up on the waiver wire. I literally couldn't replace D Williams on my roster with someone better. And since we did snake draft instead of auction my initial team was made up of whatever random player was the BPA every time it was my turn to draft since that's the only feasible strategy for snake drafts.

Ours was the same way and I gave up on strategy after the third year. Take the BPA and hope for the best. Never did a trade in ten years.
Although I did have a history of injuries. I think I lost two QB's and a RB every season to injury.
I drafted Brady the year he missed the entire season for just that reason. Even announced it at the draft!

Soooo.... tell me about your parent's involvement with your potty-training.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anal_stage
Quote:The negative reactions from their parents, such as early or harsh toilet training, can lead the child to become an anal-retentive personality. If the parents tried forcing the child to learn to control their bowel movements, the child may react by deliberately holding back in rebellion. They will form into an adult who hates mess, is obsessively tidy, punctual, and respectful to authority. These adults can sometimes be stubborn and be very careful with their money.

Well. Looks like my luck ran out. I had a draft with only 2 picks that really didn't pan out, and avoided injury for the most part. Congrats to our finalists.

You had a scary team.
Sometimes, it's just the luck of the draw.

Most people don't brag about their shitty drafts. That's a new one.

I'd say fantasy is 50 50. Maybe 65 skill 35 luck if you do auction drafts and limit waiver moves and moves in general.

Haha... good point.
But I had an auto-draft in which I got Jamal Charles and Josh Gordon.
Those were 2 fairly high picks that were wasted.
I, of course, was looking at it more from the perspective that Free Agency had plenty to offer.
I have nothing to brag about.
I did work Free Agency hard, but otherwise it was 99% luck.

Well with 3 weeks to go it looks like we still have a lot of competition for the first round bye in the playoffs. From what I can tell there are at least 7 teams still vying for the top 2 spots and even our last place guy could still technically make the playoffs at this point.

Appreciate it. Really going with a wildcard with Winston against NO but I have a feeling it will pay off.
