Training camp news, notes, thoughts, reaction, etc
(07-30-2018, 09:17 AM)Luvnit2 Wrote: Interesting take on 5th round pick Phillips. If he can return kicks and punts, he improves his chance to make the team and could put Erickson on the cut line.

According to Jim O, Phillips is having coverage issues and is dropping punts in practice. If he can't catch a punt in practice, they are not going to let him do it in games.....

Per Katherine Terrell:

I just asked Andy Dalton who was responsible for the music at practice yesterday and he adamantly said the Jock Jams Radio playlist wasn’t him. All of his teammates blamed him anyway ?

He's doing exactly what a 7th round pick has to do and that is make it impossible to cut him.

Per Joe Goodberry:

Athleticism and coverage at LB, play-making at safety, lack of speed edge rusher (until they drafted Lawson) and then an impact NT.
They've drafted to fix all of those recently. Could really hit this year.

Didn’t work.

To answer your question, I can’t tell either.

It's 27. I stopped the video at the spot of the catch. It just has motion blur.

Here's a link to the video. The throw starts at 0:19.

https://www.bengals.com/video/training-camp-report-july-26-2018

The throw to Ross is right after it.

It's just early in training camp but the most noteworthy effort in these two plays are the throws (which I believe are good throws by Dalton) and the openness by AJ Green (which was pretty f'n open).

No doubt. My blood pressure is up over all this excitement. This shtuff is just too good not to effect me. This is the absolute opposite of cold turkey. I think I'm close to going into shock. We Bengal fans just aint used to this much good stuff coming at us at once. We are being ambushed with positives. I don't know how I'm going to get through it all?

With Eifert ever injured why not just use that roster spot to keep Tate? Both are redzone and over the middle targets, but Eifert is broken glass.

Alex Erickson led the team in fumbles last year and he's still back there.   Give the guy some time.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiick

I hate that all these reports and videos are starting to make something deep inside me churn up...something that has been dormant for a couple years.  Rant Excited Rant

Yes, great double move by Boyd. Polished and just plain smooth.

Love watching Ross and Boyd so far, AJ actually might have some great compliments.

I know people liked MLJ and Mo, me too, but these two could be better...

Pretty cool seeing you come around Rfaulk, you have went through some tough times like all us Bengal fans but this
could be the year we actually win a Playoff game and make a run. For heck sake in that vid you are talking about i saw
Ogbuehi stand up Dunlap! Shocked

Fighters is the proper word for what Pollack is doing with our O-line. Looks nothing last year.
