It's literally the problems white nationalism is causing that is drawing attention to white nationalism. In terms of size, they are out numbered and rejected from all sides.

He said it's a few people who have serious problems.

And I'd disagreed they're rejected from all sides. Trump has been pretty open minded when it comes to white nationalists, enough to be celebrated in their manifestos.

It's the type of "problem" too--e.g., 50 dead in NZ.

They may be outnumbered in some places, in others they are not. Think of Poland and Hungary. And France.

According to a study reported by Vox, 3.3% of the US population think like the alt-right. The study asked questions that would help determine if someone should be included as an alt-right thinker even if they aren't a part of the alt-right or even if they don't openly support the prejudice this study was using for the basis of saying someone thinks like the alt-right. The actual people causing the problems are a fraction of this 3.3%. If you define a small group in the context of the US population (although really Trump was probably speaking world wide as it was a discussion about Australia) as 12 people, then yeah I guess you have a point.

You are right. Which is why a so called journalist cutting off a Trump quote mid-sentence to leave off the part where he described white nationism as a small group of people with very, very serious problems is a piece of shit move.
