Have heard some good things from Purdue fans, seems like if he can stay healthy he will be a solid late rd pick up.

From CBS:
"Bengals' LB makeover continues. Bailey is stellar taking on blocks with power and has the athletic gifts to be a solid coverage linebacker in the NFL. Age and injures are only legit concerns." (Chris Trapasso)

Welcome Markus.
I remember him now from the last few years before he got injured. Great coverage LB with instincts.
Has a good pass rush looks like ADG.
Also, I am seeing good tackling technique and a guy that likes to hit people.
Who was the guy saying Bailey couldn't tackle "at all" again in the draft thread?

Rodney Anderson and Markus Bailey can ice their knees together!
Lol I do like both picks though.
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

Watching a Facebook video with him and he said he was completely cleared for full movement a week before the combine. He has been working out with an nfl group with no limitations. This may end up being the steal of the draft.
Edit: Also goes without saying based on his education aspirations but he sounds extremely bright and is very well spoken.
Edit 2: Highlights from video
- Was agony waiting to be drafted
- All academic Big 10 3 years
- Talked with Bengals LB coach pre-draft, discussed schemes
- Looks up to Luke K., Sean Lee, Bobby Wagner
- Got advice on rehab from LB Jaylon Smith (Cowboys)
- Feels great...has two healthy ACLs

Great news, also all of the picks sound extremely bright and well spoken and they are leaders besides Tee who is good in his own
right and is a Bengals and AJ fan so he can learn some from AJ. Watching these vids of Bailey though I cannot help but get excited
about him if his knees are alright. Dude is a player.
I like that he is a ballhawk too and good in coverage like Wilson and ADG.

As a Purdue Alum, I can tell you Markus is LEGIT. If he comes back 100% he will be the steal of the draft. Great Instincts, cover skills, always around the football. I knew his knee injury would drop him down in the draft, but I was hoping the Bengals would take a chance on him in the later rounds. I was at work today and was checking in on the draft and when I saw his name next to the Bengals.....I just shouted YES! A total turn around for our LB corps.

If he’s 100%, he will be on this team come week 1.

Great to know Gamma. He looks great in these vids but they are highlights so he is supposed to.
I remember watching Purdue the last few years a couple times when he was healthy and I still remembered his name.
I watched entire games and this guy stood out big time to me as the best defender on the field.

Bailey was all over the field in Purdue's 2018 win over Ohio State. Kid had 15 tackles, a pick 6, and recovered an onside kick. I was very impressed by his ability to get off blocks and make plays on the ball carrier.

I'm excited with the pick as well. Obviously hope the kid stays healthy and contributes.
(I did notice that none of his highlights were against Rutgers )

LOL.
Right. Nobody ever does anything against Rutgers. They have taken the Big Ten by storm.
