I hate when people point out that losses were close in a losing season.
For one, most NFL games are pretty close. Secondly, we don't do the reverse after winning seasons. It's really just a means of providing (false) hope.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
