Ok... this is not confirmed... but a little birdie close to Bengals higher ups told me Chase will be the 5th pick. Apparently there is concern that Penei’s arms are too short. Then Offensive Lineman in 2nd round. No shocker, but just FYI @WLWT
Not surprising at all, but I don't think arm length is really the reason. That's just what they'll put out publicly to justify it.
It's more likely that they looked at their recent first round linemen not really panning out and/or their love of star WR's.
We've always had one. Always. Even through the 90s.
