Interesting debate in the legal field.
There are two theories as to why child pornography should be illegal. The first one is to protect children from sexual exploitation. Pretty much 100% of people agree that no one should be allowed to use children in pornography. The other theory is that allowing people to look at child pornography will make them more likely to be sexual predators. This theory is not as universally accepted.
The reason this is important is that now people can make computer generated pornographic images of children that look 100% real, but never involve using real children.
So should computer generated child pornography still be illegal even though it does not involve the exploitation of any real children?
