I remember actual discussions when we were quite young of the area Jesus came from and what he would have looked like.

I just coming back to say maybe it's a regional thing...lol.

Strongly Italian church with a sister church just across the bridge (next county) that was Polish so maybe they weren't as keen on it.

But we did learn where he was from, what the region was like...all of that.  We just never talked about what he would have REALLY looked like vs the images in our school and church.
