Strongly Italian church with a sister church just across the bridge (next county) that was Polish so maybe they weren't as keen on it.

But we did learn where he was from, what the region was like...all of that.  We just never talked about what he would have REALLY looked like vs the images in our school and church.

Italians are probably thinking they look close enough. We Germans and Irish can’t pull that off.
