Wisconsin Assembly passes ban on teaching critical race theory

I’m not sure what your first sentence means, but I quoted Dino’s article.

You quoted the article accurately, and the article accurately reports issues the new law addresses.

I'm just saying that

1) CRT does not teach that one race or sex is superior to another, or that a person is inherently racist by virtue of his/her sex, or that moral character is determined by race or sex, etc.

2) Trump, Fox and other RW news outlets feature commentators DO say this is what CRT teaches, however. The laws reported thus speak to those RWM-generated talking points, rather than CRT itself.

3) the goal of the distortion is to distract, divert and side track discussion of racial issues and policies framed in social science terms. There are plenty who will accept the Fox interpretation uncritically and defend themselves from the "racist" charge by reversing the charge, talking all about racism and CRT without actually having read or studied CRT sources.

So this move to ban CRT from schools is really more comparable to the anti-Sharia and anti-vaxx scares at the moment. It's about panic and anger directed from above toward partisan political ends. Fighting socialism.
