Why is Perrines touches so inconsistant?

Thats obvious. But it doesnt quite explain
Why his involvement in the offense is 
So inconsistent week to week. 
Mixon is better for sure. 
But it seems like once a game Mixon is
Coming off the field after a tackle.
He limps off and gets checked out
And he is back after 4 snaps. 
Id like to see Samaje as a lead blocker
For Mixon from time to time. 
He has the build for it....
