My view is this: They were in a good place regardless, even if they didn't make the run they did. QB is legit, weapons are legit, free agency and drafting have been absolutely on point, youth is on their side.

I get that it's tough to make it back, but this by all accounts ahead of schedule team now has about as deep of a playoff run under their belts as you can get. They have actual Super Bowl experience. Lamar does not. Allen and the Bills do not. Herbert doesn't. Vrabel's boys don't. The Bengals might not have a title, but outside of Mahomes and KC, they are really the only team with and elite quarterback and SB seasoning, and they got it while in a very young stage of their pro development.

this is a very good thing.
