Everyone agrees that if this 10 year old is at major medical risk if she were to carry til birth right?
So with that in mind, the Heartbeat bill does have that covered and she could legally have an abortion in Ohio.
"serious risk of the substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman"
Now all that said, Hopefully the Heartbeat Bill gets an amendment to cover Rapes etc, but the reality of the situation appears to be purely Politically driven with no real concern for the girl other than making her a martyr for the cause.
Do they all agree?
Essentially OH said go ahead and get an abortion under that exception and maybe we won't prosecute you.
I think one way of looking at this is to say that you blame the child and her guardians for taking her out of state with the argument that, hey you might not even have been charged and if you had you might win at trial.

Let's look at the number of people, in OH government, questioned the entire story. Will they believe a 10 year old? Her family?
Would they want to do an investigation before allowing the abortion?
Just having the exception doesn't mean it will go unquestioned even if a report has been filed with the police.
