Well, and some will find this sad and unfair, we do have a legal system here that determines how we punish those who break the law.  Occasionally we'd like to get them to court before the are dead.  

So if there was a legitimate reason to shoot the man then it was the correct form of action.  But just because he committed a crime and didn't turn himself in in whatever people decide was a quick enough time doesn't mean we just shoot and kill them.

I know, I know..."progressives".  Amiright?
